Re-assesment of the business
According to the recommendations made by the other investors we hope to make changes accordingly.
When looking at the financial projection our investors identified that our initial cost wasn’t clearly stated and the cash flows did not convince them as the values were overestimated and didn’t seem realistic for a hotel of this nature, including the payback period which puzzled all investors. The investors found this a great risk in investing as they were not sure of the situation of the hotel in the long run. However we have come up with a realistic initial cost for the hotel by looking closely at the recent central bank report and looking at the statistical data there by coming to a conclusion of a realistic cash flow by balancing our costs and profits. Looking at the SWOT analysis, some of the investors didn’t find it convincing as they felt the strategies to mitigate the threats and weaknesses were not mentioned and that it wasn't up to the investors’ expectations. However some of the investors found the SWOT analysis very convincing and that we have clearly identified what needs to be done for the business. They also stated how the risks and benefits of the business helped them make a decision about investing in the business. Therefore we hope to take both bad and good stated by the investors and change them for the better in ways that our investors would find it less risky and where they will have more confidence in our hotel.
Some of our investors stated that the promotions used for the business were not very effective as a business that has just started its operations. There were some investors who had stated that our promotions were effective for the business and how our promotional campaign seemed to be in par with our competitors. Taking all these in to consideration we plan to find other methods of promoting our business such as the trip advisor and yamu which are some very effective promotional methods that we hadn't thought of in the beginning.
Our investors also stated how we hadn't identified our competition. However we have differentiated our product by providing more activities and events such as water rafting and paint ball and more activities that we hope to come up with in the long run that will keep us at a higher level compared to our competitors..
